Introducing our newest Mom Correspondent: Blogger and Podcaster, Jen Lang from the Mommy of Many! Jen is the mom of 9 children ranging in age from 5 yrs to 22 yrs. She is a former Military Spouse of 19 yrs and has written for Military Spouse Magazine. She is currently relocating to Northern California after spending 14 years in San Diego. With Children from Kindergarten through college, running her household, writing and recording, her days are filled with Doing the Dance of the Children™.
And that brings us to our topic of discussion….moving…with…children. Yikes! Moving is never an easy task, but moving with such a wide variety of ages brings with it so many challenges. As a military spouse, Jen has moved many times. Now, she is in the process of moving six of her nine children from Southern to Northern California. Jen shares her strategy of keeping it all together, helping the kids through the move and getting everyone settled into their new schools and routines. Thinking of moving? This is the show for you! Thanks Jen!

Whether on play dates or playgrounds, children are sharing more than toys – they’re sharing germs. While it may seem like simple “kids play,” children may unintentionally be putting one another at risk for a variety of illnesses, some of which can be serious. Gretchen is joined by Dr. Paul Korn, a pediatrician from Mason, Ohio, to discuss invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) and the steps parents can take to help protect children from this disease. Thank you to Dr. Korn for speaking to me today. For more information, visit the website: Prevnar13.com.
