Ale and I talk about the origin of Mother’s Day referencing the The Mother’s Day Proclamation by Julia Ward Howe written in 1870. We realize that Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate moms. But this proclamation points out some of the important virtues that come primarily from mothers – charity, mercy and patience. So moms, have a great day and pat yourself on the back!
