I'm Karen and I went through the EXACT same thing with my girl. Her names Tori and she used to be nine. But now she's 13. But when she was about 10 she begged me for a cell phone and I said well baby you just need to wait until your old enough to be responsible for one and when I know I can completely trust you. And of corse that didn't work. She threw a HUGE fit. She screamed she cried. But now that she's older she knows where I was coming from and respects my decision more.
