There are numerous teaching opportunities being presented right now with all of the financial issues going on. Have you taken a moment to teach your kids about the stock market? What a 401 (k) is? Credit? These topics are all over the news and typically not topics that kids learn about in school. You can find great advice and help for teaching your kids about these complex things at USTreas.gov. The US Department of Treasury has an Office of Financial Education with a whole curriculum just for kids. (Between you and me, there is a lot of stuff adults can learn there too!) Oh, and if you are looking for some books to read to your children, check out this article by our friend Erica Perl – “Books to Read Your Children During a Financial Crisis.” Thanks to Dixie for sponsoring our show. Our song is Overflow by The Shapes. This show is brought to you by AsthmaKidCare.com.
Today’s AsthmaKidCare Tip: If a child needs a quick-relief, or rescue, medication more than twice a week, parents should speak with a healthcare professional about using a daily medication to control asthma inflammation. Learn more about asthma treatments at AsthmaKidCare.com.
